Unbleached Softwood Kraft Pulp
Unbleached softwood kraft pulp is made by chemically separating cellulose fibers from softwood logs such as:
Pine
Spruce
Fir
Cedar
The kraft process removes much of the lignin and other non-cellulosic materials while preserving long cellulose fibers. Because it is not bleached, the pulp retains a natural brown color and contains more residual lignin compared with bleached pulp.
